How can you GET INVOLVED?
If volunteering is not possible, there are many other ways for you to get involved:
Easy Fundraising - Register with Easy Fundraising and when you shop in any of its hundreds of stores online, earn money for Portway! Go to www.easyfundraising.org.uk and search for Portway Schools Association-Andover to get started.
My Nametags - order sticky name labels for all of your child’s things at www.mynametags.com and use code 104933 at check out and they will donate 20% of your order to Portway Schools!
Fund Match - do you work for a company that participates in fund matching? There are many companies that will fund match for your chosen charity, and we are a registered charity! Please find out the details for your company and see if you are able to help us out.
Your School Lottery - It’s simple—choose 6 numbers between 0-9 and if they match the weekly lottery draw, you win great prizes. One of our players will win a cash prize every week, maybe even the £25k jackpot! Tickets cost just £1 per week and the proceeds are donated to Portway Parent Teacher Association. All parents of both Portway Schools are automatically members of the Portway Parent and Teacher Friend Association (PTFA) and our meeting events are open to all.
Our PTFA do a wonderful job supporting our school and helping us to raise much-needed funds to continue to enhance our offer for our pupils.
The aim of the PTFA is to:
1) Enhance the education and wellbeing of pupils by providing or supporting provision of facilities and resources through fundraising.
2) Promote positive close co-operation between parents and school staff.
3) Provide activities and events to support and enhance school provision
4) Support the development of the school community
The PTFA's purpose is "to strengthen the Portway family of pupils, parents, friends and teachers through community events that raise funds for the school, which supports the experiences on offer to our children whilst helping to foster a love of learning."
